The Studio Tour

This year we offer you a new way to observe, immerse and interact with design studios in Bangalore - DesignUp Studio Tours. If you are a visiting designer who wants to know the user insights that drive business in specific industries or want to know the inside stories of how design teams function, leadership to rookie, you should get on this bus. ?

The Itinerary

In a day long tour, you will meet design teams at an online travel business that now has offices across the globe, a food delivery business, an online well-being and fitness platform and finally a design-led giant involved in precision watches and jewellery. We will aptly end this journey at a microbrewery and exchange notes.

Your day-long tour (including Travel/Transport, Lunch and a round of drinks) is priced at Rs 13,950 + taxes (18%). To book a tour spot please signup below and we will reach out to you with the payment link/details. Spots are limited in number and we will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

08.00 AM

We start the tour at DesignUp HQ. Easy to locate and centrally located makes it a convenient meeting point. Get introduced to your fellow participants and experience the roads of Bangalore as we drive to our first destination.

09.00 AM - 11.00: AM

MakeMyTrip (or MMT) is one of India's earliest Online Travel Agency (OTA), and one of Asia's largest - surviving through multiple peaks and recessions only to emerge stronger. A merger with GoIbibo and RedBus has made a stronger business with deeper offerings. MMT has been investing steadily on Design, Data and User Research - meet these teams at their R&D centre in Bangalore.

11.45 AM - 1:45 PM

Swiggy is India’s largest food ordering and delivery platform. Operating in over 100 cities in India, Swiggy estimates over 10 million monthly visits. Now, that is quite demanding for the design team. Swiggy’s VP of Design Srinath Rangamani says, “At Swiggy, we know that users often don’t get to go through the entire menu on the mobile. So, we redesigned the app to make the menu accessible in a single vertical scroll.” You can meet Srinath and his team to know more about what drives these decisions. And they also know what India eats.

2.00 PM - 4.00 PM

CureFit is an Indian health and fitness company offering digital and offline experiences across fitness, nutrition, and healthcare. The design leaders with their team work across many sub-verticals on discovery, choice, fulfilment and retention for their users across the platform.

05.00 - 6.30 PM

Obvious helps people create digital experiences their customers love. Startups, Fortune 500s and even Big Blue —they've helped them all build digital products that work.

7.30 PM

We know that is a lot to take in a day. So you need to wind down in one of the finest microbreweries in Bangalore. You can collate your views and share them with others over cold beer before you call it a day.
